Sightseeing Cards
You can take public transportation from
the airport and around the city. If you want
to see and do as much as possible in
Chicago, a sightseeing card is a great value.
Admission prices at the museums and
attractions can add up quickly, especially
for a family. These pre-purchased cards can
save time, money and hassle.
Chicago CityPASS:
This card offers VIP
admission to five attractions (one time
each) that you can use over nine consecu-
tive days: the
Shedd Aquarium
($45
Adults/$35 Children),
Skydeck Chicago
($49),
Field Museum
($38 Adults/ $27
Children),
Adler Planetarium
($35 Adults /
$30 Children) or
Art Institute of Chicago
($42 Adults / $7 Children) and
Museum of
Science & Industry
($42 Adults / $30
Children) or
360 CHICAGO Observation
Deck
($44). The prices in parentheses are
the regular admission costs so you can
compare. The Chicago CityPASS is $106 for
Adults and $89 for Children (ages 3-11).
This pass lets you bypass the lines and
head right inside.
Go Chicago Card:
The Go Chicago Card
includes all of the attractions on the
Chicago CityPASS plus another 20 attrac-
tions and tours including
LEGOLAND
Discovery Center, Hop-On Hop-Off Big Bus
Tour, Navy Pier Centennial Wheel and
rides, boat tours on Lake Michigan or the
Chicago River
and much more. There are
many versions you can purchase; the Explor-
er Pass for multiple days is a great value. The
cost for three consecutive days is $174 for
Adults and $122 for ages 3-12, five days is
$210 for adults and $143 for children.
The best thing about these passes is that
you see and do more things than you ever
would if you had to pay individually for
each item. My family makes a goal to use
as many features as possible.
Chicago is a great destination for any type
of traveler. If you have a business trip or
convention, you can easily add a few days
for fun before or after your work plans. The
sophisticated hotels with spas and rooftop
bars, exciting nightlife and fabulous
restaurants make it ideal for a romantic
long weekend or a moms’ get-away.
Chicago is full of kid-friendly attractions
and, as an added bonus, kids are actually
learning while they have fun at the zoo,
aquarium and museums. This makes
Chicago a perfect destination for a family
vacation that everyone can enjoy. Plan now
to make a trip to Chicago!
